It looks like one of our favorite childhood classics is being turned into a horror movie…AGAIN.
In case you missed it, there’s a Winnie the Pooh horror movie happening and it looks completely terrifying and/or ridiculous, depending on how you feel about scary movies. And, another beloved character is getting the horror treatment now, too — the GRINCH.
Yep, the Grinch is getting his own scary movie, according to Fox 35 Orlando. The film will be a slasher horror and will be called The Mean One. It’s apparently a parody of the classic How The Grinch Stole Christmas.
The movie will star David Howard Thorton, who plays Art the Clown in the Terrifier films.
The film’s description on IMDb says “In a sleepy mountain town, Cindy has her parents murdered and her Christmas stolen by a bloodthirsty green figure in a red Santa suit – The Mean One. But when the ravenous, Christmas-hating creature begins to terrorize the town and threatens to ruin the holiday, she finds a new purpose – trapping and killing the monster.”
This movie truly is taking the whole “Mean One” thing to the extreme! It will be distributed by XYZ Films and will be released everywhere in the U.S. for free on December 15th, 2022.
So, don’t go into this movie thinking you’re going to get that feel-good ending where the Grinch’s heart grows 3 sizes and all that. Nope — this movie is for the horror fanatics who want a holiday themed slasher, folks!
