Date Announced For Disney’s Third Quarter Earnings Call

Four times a year, The Walt Disney Company executives sit down and assess how the company is doing financially.

These meetings are led by CEO Bob Chapek and are an opportunity to hear how well the various divisions of the company are doing, including the theme parks and Disney+. The end of fiscal third quarter is quickly approaching, as is the third quarter earnings call, and today we found out when exactly the call will be.

We now know that The Walt Disney Company will discuss the results of the third fiscal quarter on August 10th. Discussion will take place via a live audio webcast that will begin at 4:30PM EST. The results of the quarter will be released at the close of trading on that day.

So what can we expect from that meeting? Quarterly earnings calls are a way to gauge the financial success of a company. We’ll get an updated look at revenue being generated by Disney Parks, Experiences and Products, as well as new figures for how many are subscribed to Disney+.

Thanks to last quarter’s earnings call, we learned that Disney+ had seen a 33% increase in subscribers from the previous year and that the Disney parks had nearly doubled their revenue from the previous year, as well.

This comes on the heels of the recent announcement that Disney CEO Bob Chapek’s contract has been extended another three years amidst the dissolution of the Reedy Creek Improvement District (Disney’s special tax district) and several shakeups of Disney executives.
