This is a series we had heard a little bit about before. Jon Watts was the director of the most recent Spider-Man trilogy and we had previously shared that he would be involved in a new Disney+ Star Wars project.
The show is set during the same time period as The Mandalorian and is said to be a “galactic version of classic Amblin coming-of-age adventure films of the ’80s.” It will join a whole host of other Star Wars shows on Disney+ like The Mandalorian, The Book of Boba Fett, and Obi-Wan Kenobi.
According to Dave Filoni the series stars kids but is “as much for kids as The Clone Wars.”
