Universal has been busy filing construction permits so that they can continue construction on the park and two lawsuits were filed against the company earlier this month over a portion of the land. Once open in early 2025, Universal’s Epic Universe theme park will feature a theme park, its own shopping and dining district, and hotels and, now we’ve got a birds-eye view of how construction is progressing!

Thanks to some ariel updates from @bioreconstruct on Twitter, we can see that progress is definitely being made!

According to @bioreconstruct, the yellow arrow in the photo below shows the center of Epic Universe, the red arrow shows where the front of the in-park hotel will be, the blue arrow shows where Super Nintendo World will go, the green arrow shows where Classic Monsters land will be, and the purple arrow shows the Kirkman Road extension.

They also shared what they claim is the aerial overview of the fence outlining How To Train Your Dragon land.

  1. Super Nintendo World is going to be “EPIC”. I have watched YouTube videos of the one that already exists in Japan and Disney has nothing like this in any of its parks. Disney is in deep trouble.

  2. It’s great that they a building a new park, but I’m not sure what they are thinking about the themes. None of these seem very popular. Unless this is going to be more aimed towards younger kids maybe. Over the years it’s always been more mature themes that have been the most popular. Jaws, Terminator, Mummy, King Kong, Harry Potter, and Jurassic Park. Maybe this will mean they will get rid of things like Dr Seuss at the original park. I’m hoping it does well, but question what crowds they hope to draw.
