Proof of Vaccination No Longer Required to Enter Universal Hollywood

As the situation with COVID-19 continues to change and develop, AllEars will be bringing you the latest relevant news that could affect a theme park visit.

We’ve been seeing a lot of updates when it comes to the situation with COVID-19 and theme parks. Now, there’s been another change to a theme park’s policies!

Universal Hollywood

Disney World, Disneyland, the Disney Cruise Line, and Universal have all made adjustments to relax their face mask mandates for vaccinated guests. These come around the same time that the CDC has made changes to face mask recommendations. Now, Universal Hollywood is following suit with more changes to their vaccination requirements.

Effective today (March 4th, 2022), Universal Studios Hollywood will not require proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test for guests to enter the theme park.

Universal Studios Hollywood

Universal Hollywood announced this over Twitter this morning, and their website has also been updated to reflect the change. In the past, guests were required to provide either proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test taken no more than 24 hours (for antigen) or 48 hours (for PCR) before their visit. Now, these are no longer required.

This update follows changes made by the California government to relax mask mandates indoors. Universal Hollywood still strongly recommends wearing a face covering while indoors, although masks are not required for fully vaccinated guests (except at CityWalk).
