Universal Has Some THOUGHTS on Disney's New Popcorn Bucket

We have to admit that one of our favorite Twitter accounts to follow is Universal Orlando.

The resort’s tweets have been known to make us laugh, with timely commentary, and occasionally a bit of shade being thrown! And today, Universal Orlando’s Twitter is at it again.

This morning, we reported on the massively long line that Disney World guests were waiting in at EPCOT to get the HIGHLY-coveted Figment Popcorn Bucket. The line has turned into a multi-hour waiting experience — perhaps even longer than what we’ve seen for Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure since it dropped its virtual queue!

Well, Universal Orlando’s Twitter person couldn’t help but comment on the situation:

And of course, the follow-up tweet promoted the resort’s newest attraction, the VelociCoaster.

In case you haven’t been following the story, there has been some drama concerning the Figment Popcorn Bucket — and we’re not just referring to the lines. Sellers have already taken to eBay trying to sell the popcorn buckets for up to $150!

But that’s not the only Figment Popcorn Bucket item up on eBay. One seller drew a bad sketch of the popcorn bucket and put it up for auction! As of this writing, it had over 77 bids and was sitting at over $200!

We will point out, though, that 90% of the final price will be donated to Habitat For Humanity AND you do get a bag of microwave popcorn with the sketch.
