Disney+ Saw a BIG Viewership Increase in November

Disney+ has officially been streaming your favorite Disney titles for over two years now!

Disney+ celebrated their two-year anniversary in a big way in both Disney Parks and at home, and now data from November has come out about how many people tuned into Disney+.

According to Deadline, Disney+ viewership increased by 20% in November, thought to be due to big releases in the month. While Disney+ has remained at 1% of overall streaming in recent months, it was able to climb to 2% in November.

Deadline reported that according to The Gauge by Nielsen (aka a monthly total of TV usage by viewers), broadcast TV fell one percentage point to land at 27% of all viewers, while cable came out at 37%, streaming at 28%, and other (like DVR recordings and video games) at 7%. Netflix is the winner of streaming services at 7%.

Deadline credits Disney+ Day on November 12th for helping Disney+ rise in viewership, with big titles such as Shang-Chi and The Legend of The Ten Rings and Jungle Cruise added to Disney+, as well as the release of The Beatles docuseries Get Back later in the month.

November 12th also saw an explosion of titles announced as coming soon to Disney+, with many new Marvel projects on the horizon. Along with Disney+ expanding into more international markets, we’ll continue to watch how Disney+ performs alongside other streaming giants.
