The holiday season is underway in Disney World, with celebrations popping up all over the place, even though some things don’t start until later this month!
We’ve been checking out decorations in Magic Kingdom, gingerbread displays at the resorts, and merchandise online this morning, but there’s one big thing in Disney World we need to discuss…the JINGLE CRUISE! The holiday overlay of Jungle Cruise is back, and we’re excited to share photos from our ride.
When we hit Magic Kingdom this morning to check out the holiday decor, we were delighted to find that the Jungle Cruise had already transformed into the Jingle Cruise for the season!
This ride overlay happens annually and features Christmas and holiday decorations scattered throughout the scenes with some festive puns and jokes sprinkled into the skippers’ scripts.
The holiday fun starts in the queue for the attraction, with new decorations all over the place. We spotted a tree…
….ornaments…
…and wreaths throughout our time spent in line. And it’s good that there were plenty of things to look at because while the wait time was posted at 55 minutes, we ended up waiting for 90 to get on the ride!
Keep that in mind — the Jingle Cruise is very popular this time of year, so you may want to hop in line first thing in the morning, the last thing at night, or purchase Genie+ and reserve a time for the Lightning Lane.
Once we finally got the chance to board our boat, we were excited to find that the names had been updated as well. We’re riding on the Icicle Irma!
This is the first chance to see the Jingle Cruise after Jungle Cruise received a bunch of updates earlier this year. Many ride scenes were updated this summer, so we’re sure things will be a little bit different than what we’ve seen in the past.
And we certainly weren’t disappointed! Our skipper cracked some great holiday jokes throughout the ride.

And all throughout the ride, we spotted little holiday touches like presents floating in the water…
…garland adorning the buildings…
…and kitschy decorations all over the place!
If you get the chance to stop by, definitely check this ride out in the next few months! We highly recommend adding this to your holiday to-do list.
Stay tuned to AllEars for more news and updates from Disney World, especially on all the new holiday offerings!
