There’s a lot of construction and refurbishments going on in Disney World right now! From an updated Hall of Presidents to a new Tron coaster, there’s plenty of work to be done around the parks and resorts.

Contemporary Construction

With all these updates to the parks,  it can be hard to keep track! Here are some of the construction updates we spotted recently!

Disney’s Contemporary Resort

Disney’s Contemporary Resort is looking just how we left it on our last visit! The construction scrim is still up around the entire resort inside while we wait for the Incredibles-themed overhaul of the resort’s rooms!

We did, however, spot some outdoor construction near the top floor balconies of the resort! A good sign? Maybe!

Disney’s Polynesian Resort

Disney’s Polynesian Resort is going through major overhauls including a new entrance, a completely reconstructed monorail station, and Moana-themed rooms! We noticed that the new monorail station is really coming together! The roof and much of the support structure look done.

We also noticed that the entrance is almost done, which is a great sign for construction to be done by the end of summer as predicted!

Polynesian Entrance Construction

We also saw some minor projects going on throughout the resort, including work on many of the entrances to different sections of the resort. If you’re staying at the Polynesian anytime soon, you might notice some walkways are blocked!

Speaking of blocked walkways, the main entrance/exit from the lobby has been blocked off due to the construction of the new resort entrance!

Indoor Construction

Similarly, the entrance to the Polynesian Resort’s monorail station is also blocked off!

Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort has a refurbishment scheduled, but it is not set to begin until the spring of next year. When that room refurb project gets going, we’ll be sure to give you a first look!
