How to Be One of the FIRST People to Ride the Re-Themed Jungle Cruise in Disneyland

The Jungle Cruise attraction is being re-themed in both Disneyland and Disney World.

Jungle Cruise at Disneyland

After all of the changes are made, the attraction will feature new characters, a new storyline, new scenes, and more. We’ve seen these changes taking place in the Disney World ride (as it has remained open throughout the refurbishment). But, the Disneyland ride has been closed this whole time and won’t reopen until July 16th. Would you like to be one of the very FIRST people to ride the refurbished Jungle Cruise in Disneyland when it reopens? Then you’ll want to sign up for a very special event!

If you’re a D23 Gold Member, then you could get an inside look at the Jungle Cruise updates and be among the first to ride the attraction when it reopens in Disneyland thanks to a very special event.

During the D23 Gold Member Jungle Cruise preview event, members will get to enter Disneyland before it opens to the public. Then, they’ll get their very own skipper hat and VIP credential. The adventure will begin at The Tropical Hideaway. There, you’ll get to enjoy some snacks and drinks including Loco Moco Bao, Sweet Lumpia, Coffee, bottled juices, water, and (of course) a Dole Whip!

Then, D23 Team Member (and former Jungle Cruise Skipper) Justin Arthur will kick things off with a panel featuring various individuals from Walt Disney Imagineering. During the panel talk, you’ll get to take a look at the history and re-imagining of Jungle Cruise.

Next, it’s finally time to take a trip through the jungle! Guests will get to hop on the Jungle Cruise and be among the first to see this ride and all of its new additions.

And while the skipper hat, credential, and snacks are nice, guests will also get to enjoy some other commemorative surprises as part of this event.

The event will take place on July 16th VERY early in the morning (we’re talking 5:30AM!!). Tickets are priced at $75 per person (plus a $7 processing fee). They will go on sale on July 9th, 2021 at 10AM PST on D23’s website.

The event has a very limited capacity though, so you’ll definitely want to sign up fast. If you can’t get a ticket, be sure to check back with D23 for a “virtual edition” of the event where you’ll still get to hear those stories from the Walt Disney Imagineering panel.
