In case you haven’t heard, the classic Disney attraction Jungle Cruise is getting a new storyline on both coasts!
The punny ride is getting new characters with a more thorough storyline, and we’re excited to see all the changes once complete! In Disney World, the ride is staying open while the makeover happens, but in Disneyland, it’s going to remain closed. Today, we found out when the Disneyland version will reopen!
In a podcast with D23 today, Disneyland Resort President Ken Potrock announced that Jungle Cruise will be reopening in Disneyland Park this summer.
Could this be the same timeline that the Disney World version will follow? It’s unclear right now. With the Disneyland version closed during the day, there are extra hours to put in construction and renovation time, while the Disney World version is a little more limited due to having guests on the ride all day long.
We’re also not entirely sure when construction began on the Disneyland version of the ride, considering the park has been closed for more than a year. Either way, we’ll be on the lookout for a completion date announcement for Disney World and a reopening date announcement for Disneyland!
