Halloween Festivities Are Coming BACK to Disneyland!

Is it ever too early for Halloween? The right answer to that question is no, it is never too early for Halloween updates, especially when it is concerning Disneyland!

Yes, maybe it is the middle of the summer but based on Disney’s typical Halloween calendar it is right around the corner and we have some boo-tiful updates to give you.

Disneyland has announced that Halloween Time will be returning to the Disneyland parks! Halloween will take over the parks starting September 3rd, 2021 and stay through October 31st.

This festive time will include fun Halloween experiences for families! Disney characters will be dressed in their Halloween costumes, there will be new treats around the parks, and you’ll see plenty of new spooky decor.

The giant Mickey Jack-O-Lantern will return, along with themed rides, and villainous character visits! The Main Street Pumpkin Festival will take over Main Street, U.S.A., with pumpkin displays in shops all down the streets! Haunted Mansion Holiday will be returning, which gives the classic Haunted Mansion ride an even spookier look with decorations inspired by Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas.

And there’s a NEW adventure this year, with Pluto’s Pumpkin Pursuit, a Halloween-themed pumpkin hunt through the park!

Each night of Halloween Time, “Halloween Screams” will show in Disneyland Park! It’s a projection and special effects show that features fireworks on weekend nights! You should be able to see the show from many different spots in the park, like Main Street, U.S.A., Sleeping Beauty Castle and near “it’s a small world.”

Oogie Boogie transforms Disney California Adventure Park during Halloween Time! At the Halloween-transformed “Radiator Screams” you can see the spooky decorations that the Cars Land residents put up on their homes! Popular attractions in Cars Land will be given a Halloween makeover, like Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree becoming Mater’s Graveyard JamBOOree, which features Halloween music!.And Luigi’s Rolickin’ Roadsters will change into Luigi’s Honkin’ Haul-O-Ween. Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT! will also be transformed, becoming Guardians of the Galaxy – Monsters After Dark and taking on a Halloween theme with a spooky, monster-filled mission.

In Disney California Adventure Park, we’ll also see Plaza de la Familia back at the Paradise Gardens! This celebration will be there from September 3rd to November 2nd. It’s inspired by Dia de los Muertos, and features live music and entertainment, limited-time foods, and crafts! You can also watch “A Musical Celebration of Coco” while you’re there, which is a show about the Disney Pixar movie Coco!

And don’t forget the Oogie Boogie Bash! The bash is an after-hours event, and you’ll need a separate ticket! On select nights, guests can trick-or-treat around Disneyland and enjoy the “Frightfully Fun Parade” and a special Halloween show! Tickets for Oogie Boogie Bash will go on sale starting Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at 9AM PT.
