Enchanted came out over a decade ago and we were all introduced to the whimsical Giselle and her animated world of Andalasia!
Now, Disney has finally begun production on Enchanted‘s sequel — Disenchanted!
Disney announced today that production has begun on the film by posting an picture on Instagram of the director, Adam Shankman, and Princess Giselle herself, Amy Adams!
The film also sees the return of stars Patrick Dempsey, James Marsden, and Idina Menzel.
Joining the cast in the sequel will be Maya Rudolph, Yvette Nicole Brown, Jayma Mays, Kolton Stewart, Oscar Nuñez and Gabby Baldacchino.
We last saw Giselle get together with Robert, and Nancy marry Prince Edward in Andalasia, so it will be exciting to see what new adventures the royals will embark on!
We don’t know an exact release date for the film yet, but we do know that Disenchanted will stream exclusively on Disney+ some time in 2022!
