BREAKING: Disney Reveals Opening DATE for Avengers Campus

Avengers, (finally) assemble!

During Disneyland’s extended closure, we soon learned that the opening timeline for Avengers Campus would be delayed. Originally scheduled to open in the summer of 2020, Disney shared the news that the newest land coming to California Adventure would open sometime in 2021.

We can now share that Avengers Campus will officially open on June 4th.

When Avengers Campus opens, it will be divided into several areas, the first being the Worldwide Engineering Brigade, aka the WEB. According to Disney, the area is home to “bright innovators like Peter Parker who have been assembled by Tony Stark to invent new technologies and equip everyday people to become Super Heroes like the Avengers.”

Here, you’ll find the new ride WEB SLINGERS: A Spider-Man Adventure. It’s the first Disney attraction to star Spider-Man, and Tom Holland is reprising his role as Peter Parker for the occasion. On this ride, recruits will learn what it’s like to have Spider-Man’s powers, a feat accomplished by innovative new technology.

This area is also where you’ll find Guardians of the Galaxy — Mission: BREAKOUT, a ride that opened at Disney California Adventure in 2017.

Guests will be able to visit the nearby Pym Test Kitchen for some experimental eats! This spot will be home to a variety of “shareable bites, inventive entrees, and sweet treats.” For other options, make sure to check out grown-up beverages at the Pym Tasting Lab, a shawarma wrap at Shawarma Palace, or the “weird and wonderful menu” of Terran Treats. 

And not only will you be walking in the steps of earth’s mightiest heroes, but you’ll also be meeting them! Character interactions will be available with Iron Man, Captain Marvel, Black Panther, the Dora Milaje, Black Widow, Ant-Man and The Wasp, the Guardians of the Galaxy, Thor, and even villains like Loki. Many of these are making their first appearance in the parks!

And, as we’ve previously shared, you may get to spot Spider-Man soaring high above Avengers Campus, performing gravity-defying stunts!

Doctor Strange will be hanging out nearby in the ancient sanctum, training recruits in the mystic arts. This looks like a really cool place to visit!

(And at night, it’s going to glow with all kinds of effects and colors!)

Finally, we can’t forget about the shopping! Guests can stock up on all the super essentials at shops like WEB Suppliers and The Campus Supply Pod.
