We’re inching closer and closer to the opening of Avengers Campus this summer in Disney California Adventure, and we couldn’t be more excited.

The Orange County Register sat down with Patrick Finnegan, California Adventure’s vice president, and had a chat about what we can expect from Avengers Campus, and the new details have us more eager than ever for the park to open!
Phase One of Avengers Campus
There are two phases on the horizon for the Avengers Campus. One of the Phase One attractions is a Spider-Man ride that will use gesture control to help guests sling webs. Thanks to Finnegan, we now know there will be no height restriction on this attraction!

Also opening this Summer is the Pym Test Kitchen, a restaurant that serves shrunken or enlarged versions of food. Though we haven’t heard what’s on the menu yet, we do know that it is “amazing” and definitely advances the story.

There will also be a tech-heavy stage show with the Doctor Strange Mystic Arts outdoor show. According to Finnegan, this show will allow Doctor Strange to interact with guests in a different way from other characters. Please tell us we’ll get to learn how to use his Sanctum Sanctorum!

Also opening in Phase One is a Marvel character rooftop stunt show that we know will feature Captain America.

And, if that’s not enough stunts for you, just turn your head and check out the Spider-Man stunt robot that will be swinging and flipping above Avengers campus. Apparently, the performing robot will be visible from a lot of places.

Phase Two
Phase Two has an as-of-yet unannounced opening date, but we do know we can expect a massive E-ticket attraction where guests will take part in a battle alongside the Avengers. According to Finnegan, “That is the next big one.”
