Disney World has been a great spot to visit all your favorite friends during the character cavalcades and character interactions in the parks!
We adore seeing the existing Disney Junior characters as they cruise through the parks, but there’s a brand NEW show that will be premiering soon too!
The Hollywood Reporter has announced that Disney Junior will be debuting the show Eureka! later this year. The show will follow a young girl inventor who uses her creative thinking to design inventions and contraptions to make the world a better places. As she tries to help modernize her prehistoric community of Rocky Falls, she relies on her close bonds with her parents, teacher, best friends, and pet mammoth Murphy.
The cast has plenty of well-known actors and actresses who will be joining the show. Ruth Righi (Disney Channel’s Sydney to the Max) will be voicing the lead as Renée Elise Goldsberry (Hamilton) and Lil Rel Howery (Free Guy) star as her parents, Roxy and Rollo. Javier Muñoz (Hamilton) will play her teacher, Ohm, along with Kai Zen (Amphibia) and Devin Trey Campbell (Broadway’s Kinky Boots) who will play the character’s best friends, Pepper and Barry respectively. Fred Tatasciore (Big Hero 6 The Series) will also be voice Murphy the Mammoth.
Eureka! has been created by Norton Virgien (Doc McStuffins) and children’s book author-illustrator Niamh Sharkey (Henry Hugglemonster) as they serve as the executive producers. Erica Rothschild (Sofia the First) serves as a co-executive producer and story editor, while Rusty Cundieff and Donna Brown Guillaume are consulting producers. The series’ songwriter is Kari Kimmel and the composer is Frederik Wiedmann. Brown Bag Films will work alongside Disney Junior to produce the show.
Joe D’Ambrosia, senior vice president of original programming and general manager at Disney Junior, stated that “Eureka is an inspiring young girl with a big imagination and even bigger heart. Through her creative inventions and friendships, she brings her prehistoric town together and helps others learn to look at the world from different perspectives. We like to think of her as our very first Disney Imagineer.”
Science educators and experts will help serve as guides on Eureka! when the show is in production. When Disney releases more details about the upcoming series, we’ll be sure to update you on everything we know! Stay tuned with All Ears for more Disney news!
