It can be a really daunting task to decide on your vacation to-do list, and there are so many things to choose from — literally hundreds of snacks and dozens of rides across four different theme parks.

Today, we’re sharing our top 10 picks for the things you absolutely need to do before your Disney trip ends!

Eat Something Mickey-shaped

Mickey-shaped snacks are the quintessential Disney treat, and there are so many to choose from! All around the resort, you’ll find Mickey ice cream bars, ice cream sandwiches, pretzels, caramel apples, and everything in-between. If Disney can put a pair of mouse ears on it, they usually will — so this one shouldn’t be hard to accomplish!

Take a Castle Pic

The best way to prove you went to Disney World is by taking a picture in front of the iconic Cinderella Castle! It’ll be a cherished souvenir, and if you go frequently, it’s a great way to watch the changes in your family over the course of many vacations.

Ride a Classic Disney Ride

We know that there are SO many Disney rides to choose from during your trip, but you can’t visit the parks without trying at least one of the classics! The new rides are super fun and exciting, but what kind of Disney trip would it be if you didn’t ride something like Haunted Mansion, Peter Pan’s Flight, Pirates of the Caribbean, Jungle Cruise, or so many others?!

“it’s a small world”

Say Hey to Mickey Mouse

Some people are bigger fans of rides than they are characters, and that’s perfectly okay, but if you’re coming all the way to Disney World, then it would be rude to not say “hey” to Mickey Mouse! Whether you wave at him in a cavalcade or parade, head to a character meal, or stop by to see him in a meet-and-greet location, there are plenty of ways to get your Mickey fix.

Try Dole Whip

Now, Dole Whip isn’t for everyone, but if it’s your first trip, you definitely have to try it out. It’s one of the most well-known Disney snacks, and you can get it in a variety of flavors, from coconut to orange to lime. We recommend starting with the classic pineapple and going from there! (Bonus points if you get it from Aloha Isle.)

Coconut Soft Serve

Visit the Magic Kingdom Mountains

Some of the most beloved rides in Disney World are the “Magic Kingdom Mountains.” The three mountains (Space Mountain, Splash Mountain, and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad) each offer a unique ride experience, and you’ll likely find at least one of them that you’ll enjoy.

Go Souvenir Shopping

What’s a trip to Disney World without some fun souvenirs? While there are plenty of gift shops around the property to find the items you want to take home, we definitely recommend checking out the two big ones: the Emporium in Magic Kingdom and World of Disney in Disney Springs. Both of these shops are iconic and offer a WIDE variety of items to choose from. While they won’t necessarily have everything, they’ll have all your basic souvenir categories.

World of Disney in Disney Springs

Stop by Disney Springs

And speaking of World of Disney, we recommend that if given the chance, you take some time to explore Disney Springs! Disney World’s shopping and dining complex has so much to offer, and you can take a bus directly from your resort to get there. Here you’ll find all kinds of stores and some of the best dining in all of Disney World, not to mention some great live entertainment and plenty of activities!

Disney Springs

Explore Your Resort

Disney’s Resorts are filled with plenty of fun things to do — you could probably spend a whole day just exploring your hotel! During your trip, make sure to take some time to check out the restaurants, swim in the pool, take a walk around, and enjoy the theming. You paid to stay on Disney property, so enjoy it!
