Late last year, Disney announced that major changes would be coming to its gift card website.

The website’s update was supposed to take place on January 20th, but was postponed until today! Let’s take a look at what’s new on the site!
Prior to this launch, all guests’ account details (including logins and previously added gift cards) were deleted. However, gift card balances were not affected. Now that the upgraded site is up and running, you can log in with an existing or new Disney account in order to make any changes.

Disney has notified any guests visiting the website of these changes with links to redirect them to the new page.

Guests are not only able to shop for new cards and add existing ones to their account…

…but they can also quickly check the balance on a card!

They will need to enter the account number and EAN, which Disney has circled on a gift card image for additional directions.

Since the new Disney Gift Card website has changed and deleted previous history, guests will need to add their gift cards to their account.

At this time, they are able to add up to six individual Disney Gift Cards to their account with the ability to check balances, view transaction history, and transfer funds between cards.

You can add your gift cards to the My Cards section of the site using the 16-digit account number and EAN associated with the card, while also adding a nickname for each one.

We use to use the dining plan so that we know we would have everything payed for before we go. The last trip we started buying gift cards to pay for food. That way we would stay have everything payed for before hand but if we didn’t use all of them we could use the cards to buy other things and we didn’t waste money
