Sometimes it pays to be a viral media sensation on TikTok.
Charli D’Amelio, who started her entertainment career as a competitive dancer, knows exactly what that’s like — her dance videos on TikTok have earned her over 250 million followers on social media platforms! Well, it looks like more (much longer) videos are in her future!
Now, Charli and her family are getting their own reality TV series on Hulu. Deadline reports that a new eight-part series called The D’Amelio Show will follow Charli, sister Dixie, their father Marc, and mother Heidi as they navigate the world of sudden fame.
Marc D’Amelio said, “We are excited to be joining the Hulu family with a unique behind the scenes look into our life….Many people create impressions of us based off of short content, a few minutes or even seconds. But now, we’re looking forward to sharing a side that you likely don’t get to see on our social channels.” The series will debut on Hulu in 2021.
