The Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine is being distributed to hospitals throughout the United States this week.

We reported earlier that the vaccine had arrived in Florida and the first dose was administered to a frontline nurse in Tampa Bay. Vaccines are beginning to arrive in other parts of the country including California.
A tweet by LAX airport showed a picture of a FedEx plane landing this morning. The tweet described that the first batch of vaccines has arrived and that “this is a major milestone for science, our country and our community.” California Governor Gavin Newsom claimed that around 327,600 doses will be arriving in the state shortly.

The arrival comes after Newsom implemented a stricter “stay at home” mandate that applies tight regulations to regions with hospital capacity limits lower than 15%. Orange County, where Disneyland Resort is located, was recently added to this mandate along with the rest of the Southern California region.
