NEWS: Hogwarts Express, Revenge of the Mummy, and More Will Be Undergoing Refurbishment at Universal Orlando

There’s a lot of fun to be had at Universal Orlando Resort in 2020!

With a special Holiday VIP tour, a Holiday Treat Trail, some delicious seasonal eats, and lots of festive entertainment options, there are plenty of activities for the rest of this year at Universal! Since we’ve only got one month left in 2020 they’re already planning for next year, and that schedule includes several attraction refurbishments in early 2021!

Several attractions have been added to the list of “Temporary Attraction Closures” on Universal Orlando Resort’s website. At Universal Studios Florida, Revenge of the Mummy will be closed from January 4th to January 15th, 2021.

Over at Universal’s Islands of Adventure, we will see three water-based attractions closed temporarily: Jurassic Park River Adventure, Popeye & Bluto’s Bilge-Rat Barges, and Dudley Do-Right’s Ripsaw Falls. Jurassic Park River Adventure will close from January 11th to January 29th, Popeye & Bluto’s Bilge-Rat Barges will be down from February 1st to February 19th, and Dudley Do-Right’s Ripsaw Falls will be closed from February 22nd to March 19th.

At both parks, the Hogwarts Express will be closed for one day only on January 21st, 2021. It’s a tad unusual to see an attraction scheduled to be closed for one day, so we’ll be on the lookout for any more information about this one.
