Ever since July, Disney World’s reopening process has been slow and the parks have been careful to comply with certain health and safety measures.
Rather than reopen everything all at once, Disney has rolled things out in stages, and we are thrilled to report signs of life for one of our favorite modes of transport!
According to Disney Food Blog, the beloved Friendship Boats are currently testing at Disney World! These boats are not transporting guests right now, but they are anticipated to be fully functioning soon.

But like so many fixtures in Disney World, they’ve been MIA for most of 2020, and we’ve been eagerly awaiting their return.
Following a delay this summer, it appears Disney is gearing up to revive the Friendship Boats — another uplifting sign that things are slowly returning to a magical norm!
