If you’ve ever classified yourself as a “movie buff,” you’re going to want to pause whatever you’re watching on Disney+Disney+ Digital Streaming Service and pay attention to this auction!

While we can’t help but fall in love with different film series, there is SO MUCH merchandise out there to satisfy the inner fangirl in all of us. But, now you can actually own a piece of your favorite films through the upcoming Hanlin’s Hollywood Memorabilia Auction.
According to Attractions Magazine, fans will be able to big on costumes, scripts, props, and more used in the production of films like Star Wars, Harry Potter, and the Avengers series! Hanlin’s Hollywood Memorabilia Auction will take place at 11AM CST today and tomorrow online.

The first day will have movie ephemera, which means “collectible written or printed memorabilia expected to have short-term usefulness.” Along with rare press books from the 1940s, 1950s, and 1960s, Harry Potter fans could even find an article from The Sun about the death of the original Dumbledore. Before Michael Gambon signed on to play the iconic role, Richard Harris originally played the Hogwarts headmaster in Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone before passing away from cancer in 2002.

However, the Harry Potter memorabilia doesn’t stop there. The second day of the auction will feature items used on set in the productions. While we love having the wand choose us at Ollivander’s, you can take home the original resin stunt wands used by big baddies like Lord Voldemort (actor Ralph Fiennes) and Bellatrix Lestrange (Helena Bonham Carter).

Whether you’re a Seeker or a Chaser, the original golden Snitch used in the first two Harry Potter films is quite the prized possession for any Quidditch fan. The Snitch was incorporated into the film with CGI technology, but this prop was put on a pole and waved around for actions to follow during filming.

Star Wars fans will also be excited since they can take home original hand-drawn designs for the bounty hunter “Sand Man” in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, along with a Kyber crystal prototype necklace that Mark Hamill used as Luke Skywalker in Star Wars: The Last Jedi.

But, some of the BIGGEST sellers this year come from the Marvel department! Fans will be able to get the original Asgardian helmet used in Thor: Dark World, the “STARK 18” and “STARK 19” license plates used in Tony Stark’s garage during Iron Man 2, and even the sweatshirt Tom Holland wore as Peter Parker during Spider-Man: Homecoming.

However, the original screen-matched SHIELD Security Files used in The Avengers are going to rack up quite the bids with folders for Captain America, Agent Carter, Tony Stark, and Howard Stark. Hanlin has stated that “The Captain America file folder is absolutely screen-matched to the scene, so I think that one is definitely going to be in the top three [highest bid items] because it involves multiple characters and you can see it very clearly.”

Since movie fans everywhere admire the work that productions put into their productions, the auction owner has taken the time to include all sorts of different memorabilia. Hanlin noted that “With movie props and costumes, just the nature that there’s only so many, or one, or one of this bloody version – or whatever it is – there’s a very limited number. That’s why this collecting world is so suited to auctions because how do you price that? Every auction, I’m surprised by the stuff that people just had to have.”

And, we’re sure the movie buffs out there reading this are just itching to get their hands on some of the amazing items that will be making their way to the Hanlin auction! As more cool opportunities pop up for Disney and Universal fans, we’ll keep you updated on everything you need to know!
