Earlier this year, Mayer left Disney to become CEO of the social media app, TikTok. Now, according to TechCrunch, he has resigned from his position as Chief Executive Officer after 100 days.

A source from CNBC states that Mayer quit “after being excluded from deal talks between the company and Microsoft & Oracle.” The news source stated that the exit indicates that TikTok may be gearing up to sell the company to Microsoft.

The story is still developing as news sources learn more about TikTok, Microsoft, and Mayer’s association with the company.
