Since the announcement that Splash Mountain would be re-imagined into a Princess and the Frog-themed attraction, Disney has started to quietly remove certain instances where the attraction makes an appearance in preparation for the refurbishment.
We just noticed another change, this time on the Play Disney Parks App!
Previously, you could play a game called “Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah Day” via Play Disney Parks. That feature has now been removed.
When you access Magic Kingdom’s park map now, the only activities you can select near Splash Mountain include Frontierland trivia and general information about Splash Mountain.
At this time we do not know when Splash Mountain will officially close at Disney World or Disneyland, but we are keeping a close watch on any and all developments.
