Although Downtown Disney has been open for us to explore the shopping and dining district, the parks have currently do not have a reopening date.
Since Disneyland has remained closed as a health and safety protocol, there aren’t any set dates for when the parks or resorts will open to guests. As Disney continues to keep many of their operations suspended, guests who have booked vacations will need to make sure to change their upcoming reservations.
Although state officials have started early discussions on how to reopen theme parks in California, Disneyland will continue to keep its parks and hotels closed indefinitely. And, Disney has announced that guests with resort reservations through September 5th will need to modify or cancel their stays.
At this time, Disney’s change and cancellation fees will be waived up to the date of guests’ previous arrivals through September 5th. However, if a guest is unable to reach out to a representative before the check-in date to make a modification or cancellation, Disney won’t be penalizing people with hotel room reservations or Walt Disney Travel Company vacation packages.
Guests who have booked through third-party companies for hotel reservations, travel protection, and car rentals will need to contact them directly. Some of these parts are nonrefundable and may be subject to cancellation fees from the third-parties.
Although we aren’t sure when Disneyland will be re-opening, the parks and resorts are doing everything they can to keep people safe right now. As Disney moves forward, we’ll continue to keep you updated on the status of Disneyland’s official reopening!
