NEWS: General Registration is Open for runDisney’s 2021 Star Wars Rival Run Weekend!

The Star Wars Rival Run Weekend by runDisney is a great way for Star Wars fanatics to join forces in an epic marathon event!

Many runDisney theme park events have been canceled or rescheduled due to the global health crisis. Some races, like the 2020 Wine and Dine Half Marathon, were adapted into a virtual race.  Other races, like the 2020 Star Wars Rival Run, were canceled altogether. Disney has since announced the scheduled dates for the 2021 Star Wars Rival Run, and registration is now open!

Annual Passholders and Disney Vacation Club members received an early registration period last week. The general public can now sign up for the 2021 race taking place on Walt Disney World property!

Participants can join the 5K, 10K, Half Marathon, Kessel Run Challenges, and even short races for kids! While running the race, you’ll have a chance to pose with Star Wars characters and earn medals for your journey! Registration fees are based on the date of purchase.

Can’t make it to the theme parks for a runDisney event? That doesn’t mean you can’t get involved! Disney offers virtual races throughout the year and will even send you goodies for participating. We’ll keep you updated on all runDisney theme park and virtual events in the future!
