Since movie theaters have delayed their re-openings, multiple Disney films have pushed back their release dates (including the sequel to Spider-Man: Far from Home and Avatar 2).

Although we’re still patiently waiting to see some of the live-action films that Disney has slated to release, we have some amazing news for all the Pixar fans out there!

While Soul has been pushed back until November, Disney and Pixar have teamed together to create a new film called Luca.

The animated movie will be about a boy named Luca as he experiences “an unforgettable summer in a seaside town on the Italian Riviera.” The film will be directed by Enrico Casarosa and produced by Andrea Warren with a release date of the summer of 2021.

Finally, we have a new Disney film based in Italy (and we are SO excited to see the beautiful animation brought to life on the big screen)! While we don’t have too many more details about Luca, we will continue to keep you updated on the new Pixar movie!
