Disneyland Paris is another park gearing to reopen soon on July 15th!
As the parks have already started putting health and safety measures in place, Disneyland Paris is also giving back to the community during its re-opening progress.
Disneyland Paris has donated more than 1.5 million euros in food and medical supplies to local associations and healthcare institutions. Their donation consists of more than 100 tons of food, personal protective equipment (or PPE), and medical supplies to assist the community during this difficult time.
Disney VoluntEARS put in hard work and dedication to help pack and distribute fruits, vegetables, proteins, drinks, snacks, and more to places like the Red Cross, Secours Populaire Français, Restaurants du Coeur, and the Oasis à Serris. Face masks and other medical equipment were given to the Seine-et-Marne prefecture to distribute to hospitals.
Hospitals, EHPADs, and healthcare professionals in the Île-de-France region also received rain ponchos and PPE, along with the Fondation Hôpitaux de Paris – Hôpitaux de France. Disney VoluntEARS helped to give out masks to people in Serris, which is a town near Disneyland Paris. This equipment allowed schools, students, and teachers to reopen safely with a little extra Disney magic sprinkled in with workshops for the kids.
Since this is currently a trying time, Disney wanted to help children who have been hospitalized by making educational tutorials, sending supply kits, and providing toys to children in hospitals. You can watch the full video of Disneyland Paris’s donations (it’s in French, though!) here!
