UPDATE: Along with the Tri-State area, Ohio has joined in as a state issuing a travel advisory for visitors from Florida.
Back in March, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis issued a new travel advisory that required visitors from New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, and Louisiana to go through a mandatory 14-day quarantine when entering Florida. That advisory has been extended several times, and is currently set through at least July 7th, 2020.

And now, there is a new travel advisory for those returning from Florida.
In addition to a required quarantine when entering Florida, New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut have now issued a joint travel advisory that will require those traveling from Florida to quarantine for an additional 14 days when returning to their states. Theme park reporter Scott Gustin has confirmed this new development on his Twitter.
NEW: NY, NJ and Conn. just announced a 14-day quarantine for travelers from states with surging coronavirus cases.
"We are announcing a joint travel advisory. People coming from states with a high infection rate must quarantine for 14 days. "

This new travel advisory will go into effect at midnight tonight, and will apply to nine states, including Alabama, Arkansas, Arizona, Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina, Washington, Texas, and Utah.

New York Governor Andrew Cuomo explained this new criteria, stating that it “applies to any person arriving from a state with a postitive test rate higher than 10 per 100,000 residents over a 7-day rolling average or a state with a 10% or higher positivity rate over a 7-day rolling average.” With that in mind, New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut will continually update their respective websites with a list of states that this new advisory will apply to.

We will continue to bring you updates as more information is released.

What does that mean? Will they lock you up or just ask you to do the 14 days at home? How can they ensure travelers are doing that?
They’ll get manifests from the airlines and do spot checks on people who were in Florida to see if they are home. At least that is what NY claims they are doing. So add 2 weeks to that Disney vacation unless you can work from home.
