While there are SO many awesome merchandise items in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Disney World and Disneyland, this is the droid you’ve been looking for.

While droids can be faithful companions, apparently now they can be vacuum cleaners, too?! Gizmodo showed us Matthew Scott Hunter’s droid unit that works as both a vacuum and a mop. (Wow, he’s got some Jedi level talents in order to make this robot!)

After he spotted a trash can in a garage that looked very similar to a certain Star Wars droid, he decided to build his own robot friend! He took a lightweight garbage can to make the body and domed head, then added still poster board for the legs. After grabbing a few items around the house for details (bottle caps can go a long way), he started to build the robot on top of his Roomba.

Since the vacuum is circular shaped, Hunter made an R9-D9 Astromech Droid. An oscillating fan helped move its dome shaped head back and forth, along with a Bluetooth speaker hidden inside to make our favorite droid noises! A portable battery helped keep the speaker charged so it could beep-boop all day long.

The R9-D9 droid only turned out to be 14 pounds, so there weren’t any issues pulling the vacuum around the house. But, since there is a whole droid attached to it now, the robot vacuum can’t clean under hard-to-reach areas. Still, we think he’s totally worth it!
