Give Kids the World Village Announces Temporary Closure

Disney has had to make some drastic changes to keep health at the forefront, and to help “flatten the curve“. Disneyland and Disney World have both been closed, and films have had their release dates delayed indefinitely.

Give Kids the World, a non-profit organization in Kissimmee, Florida that makes it possible for terminally ill children to visit Disney World and other theme parks in Central Florida, has also announced that they will be shutting down due to the outbreak.

In a statement released by the organization on their website, Give Kids the World stated that all Village operations will be suspended until April 1st. After that, they will see if the situation warrants a closure extension, or if the Village can reopen.

Volunteer shifts have to be cancelled while the Village is closed, but regular employees will continue to be compensated. Hopefully they are able to reopen soon and continue making the wishes of children come true.
