The Walt Disney Family Museum Has Temporarily Closed Due to the Coronavirus Outbreak

Due to the Coronavirus outbreak, Disney has been taking precautionary measures across a variety of properties, including at the Disney Parks and the Disney Cruise Line.

And now, there has been another closure announced due to the Coronavirus outbreak.

The Walt Disney Family Museum in San Francisco has announced that they will be closing temporarily.

On the Walt Disney Family Museum Instagram, they wrote:

“Given the continued spread of COVID-19 in the local area, and based on Mayor London Breed’s guidance from March 6, The Walt Disney Family Museum has decided to remain closed to undertake extensive due diligence efforts—in consultation with experienced professionals—regarding potential secondary exposure involving staff and volunteers.”

As of now, the museum has announced that they will reopen either on March 20th, or when they “receive clearance from medical professionals”. During this closure, all scheduled programs will be canceled or rescheduled for another date.
