Disney Parks’ partnership with Make-A-Wish brings a lot of joy to a lot of kids, and that’s just what their goal is. Just look at the massive donation they announced during the Super Bowl last night!
Well, a few days ago, Make-A-Wish and Disneyland Resort made a serious dream come true for another Wish Kid. 12-year-old Spencer wanted nothing more than to share a frosted treat with actor (and his hero) John Ratzenberger — so that’s exactly what the two organizations made happen!
Ratzenberger met up with Spencer and his family at Adorable Snowman’s Frosted Treats. A fitting place to meet up, considering Ratzenberger was the voice of Monsters Inc.’s Abominable Snowman, who the eatery is named after! Spencer was wearing his Monster’s University hat to commemorate the occasion!
Spencer said that watching Ratzenberger in all of the Pixar movies makes him feel happy, and that’s why he wanted to grab an ice cream with him. He also brought his favorite plush of the Yeti from the film, as well as a gift for Ratzenberger — a journal filled with drawings and photos.
When asked about what getting his wish felt like, Spencer said, “I just can’t believe it. I sure did enjoy being with him, and he called me a friend. Being his friend is so nice, and it made my heart shine brighter than ever. I can’t believe it was actually him!”
