We recently reported that Shanghai Disneyland had closed temporarily to prevent the spread of the virus, and now Hong Kong Disneyland has followed suit.

Starting on January 26th, 2020, Hong Kong Disneyland will also be closed temporarily out of concern for public “health and safety”.

The timing of the virus outbreak and the closures has unfortunately coincided with the Lunar New Year, one of the biggest celebrations that China observes annually. There is no word yet on how long the park will remained closed, though Disney officials have said they will “announce a reopening date once they determine it is advisable.”
