At the D23 Expo in August, Disney revealed that “Marvel’s Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur“ has been ordered by Disney Channel. The animated series is an original based on Marvel’s comic books.

The series will be executive produced by Helen Sugland and Laurence Fishburne’s Cinema Gypsy Productions (the company behind “black-ish”!). “Marvel’s Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur” will chronicle the adventures of Lunella Lafayette, a supergenius thirteen-year-old who accidentally transports her ten-ton T-Rex (the titular Devil Dinosaur) to present-day NYC!

The unlikely (and anachronistic) duo will protect the Lower East Side from danger — and we can’t wait! No word on a release date, but we’ll let you know when it’s time to watch!
