It looks like Sony and Tom Holland’s Spider-Man will no longer be “Far From Home” as he celebrates his “Homecoming” back to the Marvel Cinematic Universe!
That’s right! After a brief breakup this summer Sony and Marvel have come to an agreement to share the production of a third Spider-Man movie.
Today, Marvel and Sony announced they will work together on a third movie in the Spider-Man Homecoming series. That third film will be produced with Marvel Studios, Marvel’s Kevin Feige, and Amy Pascal at Pascal Productions, who produced the first two films in the Homecoming series.
“I am thrilled that Spidey’s journey in the MCU will continue, and I and all of us at Marvel Studios are very excited that we get to keep working on it. Spider-Man is a powerful icon and hero whose story crosses all ages and audiences around the globe. He also happens to be the only hero with the superpower to cross cinematic universes, so as Sony continues to develop their own Spidey-verse you never know what surprises the future might hold.”

The next Spider-Man film is scheduled to be released July 16, 2021. The agreement also includes the appearance of Tom Holland’s Spider-Man in one more MCU film.
