Today (and Thursday), we take a brief moment to stop and look around Epcot’s World Showcase after the sun goes down. While I prefer seeing foreign (and domesticated) countries during the day, there is a soothing calmness at night. People are tired, quieter, and in fewer numbers, especially during Extra Magic Hours and after Illuminations.
My image of choice comes from Karamell-Küche aka the Werther’s shop. It was a late September night and as my friend Terri and I walked slowly with tired achy feet, came across a miracle. The store was empty, free of tourists, an oasis, even. Breathe in the deliciousness of silky smooth caramel and not other shoppers.
