Taking a Break

Light Meter by Lisa K. Berton

You know, it’s a bit funny but these “assignments” we’ve given ourselves each week is like going through photography school all over again. Take for instance this week’s theme, abstracts. That’s not something I normally go out and shoot often, as I’m a photojournalist and by nature, we record history in the making. Certainly we have the broadest range of stock from portraits to landscapes to events but abstracts…well, not so much. My point is that I had to make myself shoot in ways I haven’t in a while and I liked it!

Barrie didn’t tell us if we’re supposed to inform you of where our abstacts were shot but here goes. I needed to escape from the cold and defrost during our photowalk at MouseFest. Inside the Beach Club lobby they have new fancy chairs. The chairs have tall backs and arch over your head. I looked up and grabbed the shot.
