About AllEars

We’re Serious About Fun
Planning a theme park vacation should be exciting. It should not feel like you accidentally enrolled in a graduate seminar called Advanced Lightning Lane Logistics and Other Ways to Lose Sleep. That is where we come in.
AllEars is an independent travel resource created by people who genuinely love theme parks and take vacation planning very seriously. We track the news, test the strategies, eat the snacks, tour the hotels, study the crowds, and investigate those oddly specific questions that appear in your brain at 11:48 p.m.
Can you really ride everything before lunch? Is the expensive hotel actually worth it? Which EPCOT festival booth deserves your money? Will that “secret shortcut” save time, or will it deposit you behind a family of 14 moving at the speed of warm syrup? We want to know, too.

- Unreasonably committed to testing theme park theories
It Started With Deb
AllEars began in January 1996, when Deb Wills created Deb’s Unofficial Walt Disney World Information Guide for members of the rec.arts.disney.parks online newsgroup. This was before social media, smartphones, Mobile Order, and the ability to watch someone review a theme park corn dog from your couch.

The original resource, first known as Deb’s Disney Digest and later as WDWIG, gathered practical information about Walt Disney World hotels, restaurants, tours, and vacation planning in one central place. That may sound ordinary now. In the mid-1990s, it was internet frontier work.

What began as one woman sharing helpful Disney knowledge grew into a sprawling travel guide with more than 15,000 pages of information and thousands of photos. The project was never really finished, because theme parks have a charming habit of changing the moment everyone finally understands them.
Three Decades and Counting
In 2026, AllEars reaches its 30-year mark. During those three decades, Disney World added parks, hotels, festivals, transportation systems, reservation rules, digital queues, several generations of skip-the-line programs, and enough limited-edition popcorn buckets to construct a modest guest house.

AllEars changed, too. The website remains a massive planning archive, but today the brand also includes daily reporting, restaurant and hotel reviews, social media coverage, newsletters, and AllEars TV.

The current team includes dedicated editorial, reporting, YouTube, production, editing, and social media groups, all united by strong theme park opinions and suspiciously detailed snack rankings.
We Go So You Know
We do not want to hand you advice that only works in theory. Our team visits the parks, hotels, restaurants, and destinations we cover. We test touring strategies in real conditions, including crowds, heat, rain, ride breakdowns, reservation problems, and the mysterious disappearance of all available seating precisely when lunch arrives.

Sometimes that means testing practical vacation tips. Sometimes it means comparing park strategies, trying every supposed loophole, or completing a challenge with rules no reasonable person would impose upon themselves.
AllEars TV includes hundreds of videos covering park plans, games, hotel stays, attraction reviews, budget experiments, food, and full vacation challenges. Recent coverage has stretched from daily Disney World strategy to Dollywood, LEGOLAND, Universal, and Six Flags.

It is entertaining because theme parks are supposed to be entertaining. It is useful because somebody should figure out whether the plan actually works before your family bets an entire vacation day on it.
Disney Is Home, but We Get Around
Walt Disney World remains a huge part of what we do, but modern theme park vacations rarely fit neatly inside one castle-shaped box.

Walt Disney World
News, attractions, restaurants, hotels, transportation, construction, closures, planning strategies, special events, and the tiny operational changes that can quietly rearrange your entire morning.
Disneyland Resort
West Coast news, dining, hotels, attractions, entertainment, events, and planning information.
Disney Cruise Line
Ships, itineraries, dining, destinations, planning advice, and the important question of how many desserts one person can responsibly order at dinner.
Universal Orlando Resort
Hotels, tickets, Express Pass, dining, attractions, events, and extensive coverage of Epic Universe.
Beyond the Usual Bubble
Our team also visits other theme parks and destinations to see what they do differently, what Disney and Universal fans should know, and whether we can survive without immediately comparing every attraction to something in EPCOT.

The People Behind the Ears
AllEars is made by actual people. They have favorite attractions, favorite snacks, intense opinions about discontinued rides, and enough combined theme park trivia to make ordinary dinner conversation nearly impossible.

Our team includes reporters keeping up with breaking news, writers building practical guides, editors checking the details, social media managers sharing updates, and video producers turning park research into something you might voluntarily watch during lunch.

Some of us love thrill rides. Some prefer dark rides. Some would skip both for a lounge reservation and a decent cocktail. No two vacations look exactly alike, and good advice should account for different budgets, families, priorities, comfort levels, and definitions of a successful park day.
Independent on Purpose
AllEars is an independent, unofficial website. It is not affiliated with, authorized by, maintained by, or endorsed by The Walt Disney Company or its affiliates.
That independence allows us to celebrate what works, question what does not, and tell you when something expensive, popular, or covered in glitter may not be right for your trip. We love theme parks. We are not required to love every decision they make.
How the Site Is Supported
Running a website with decades of information, daily reporting, photography, video production, and in-park research costs money. AllEars uses advertising, sponsorships, and affiliate links to help support that work. Some purchases made through affiliate links may earn AllEars a small commission.

Our goal is still to provide useful, honest information and recommendations that help readers make smarter vacation decisions. You can also support AllEars by reading, watching, subscribing, following along on social media, sharing our work, and telling us when something has changed.
Reader messages have helped keep this site current since its earliest days.
Come Have Fun With Us
AllEars started as a place where Disney fans could share information and help one another plan better vacations. Thirty years later, that is still the job. The tools are newer. The team is bigger. The parks are more complicated. The snacks are considerably more photogenic.

But the purpose remains wonderfully simple: we do the research, ask the questions, and test the plans so you can spend less time worrying about your vacation and more time enjoying it.
Welcome to AllEars.
Let’s get planning.
