Destination D: Amazing Adventures Adds James Cameron, Jon Landau, Bob Chapek to Event Roster

D23 Destination D: Amazing Adventures presented by Ethan Allen | Disney, has added several attendees to its list of panelists. AVATAR creators James Cameron and Jon Landau will join Imagineer Joe Rohde for Pandora - The World of AVATAR, a presentation during which they will unveil new details about the 12-acre land coming soon to Disney's Animal Kingdom. In addition, the event will include a conversation with Bob Chapek, Chairman of Walt Disney Parks and Resorts, and a session with Moana screenwriter Jared Bush. This D23 event will take place November 19-20, 2016 at Disney's Contemporary Resort. Tickets, currently on sale, are $190 each for D23 Gold and Gold Family Members. Tickets are also available to D23 General Members for $250 per ticket. Further details about the program and tickets can be found at D23.com/Events.

Disney Legend Marty Sklar on Shanghai Disneyland: ‘It’s the best Disney park’

The first time Marty Sklar walked down the main thoroughfare of a Disney theme park -- Disneyland's Main Street U.S.A., on July 17, 1955 -- he was a 21-year-old intern working in the park's public relations department and was, for all intents and purposes, just another face in the overheated crowd on that momentous opening day. The most recent time Marty walked down the main thoroughfare of a Disney theme park -- Shanghai Disneyland's Mickey Avenue, on opening day, June 17, 2016 -- he was an 82-year-old retiree who was far from just another face in the crowd.
