I was very much looking forward to this meal, and it was good, I just don't think our bill matched our meal. We are okay paying $40-$50 for our steaks but I believe it was our wine selection that may have derailed our experience. There is a section labeled zesty red or something to that effect but when trying to select our waiter had us choose a Zinfandel which typically we like zinfandels but this bottle, was eh, and of course sometimes you only need one catalyst to make everything eh. Will try Flying Fish next time we are in the area, and may follow someone else's suggestion of having a meal at the bar where you will be served some Yachtsman choices without the reservation etc.

Steaks were best we had all week. Great wine selection

Pros:

For the price you pay, I believe ambiance needs work. Would like maybe dimmed lights and soft music to enhance the experience.

Cons:

Parents who let their kids run around table at nice restaurant. Had family seated next to us and I don’t think son sat down but ran around table all night.

Have been here twice. On our first visit, we had the best steaks we have ever had in our lives! Amazing, best meal ever. Our waiter was great, gave us some recommendations that didn't disappoint. Went back on our next trip expecting the same, and was kinda let down. Our waitress was horrible, and that put a damper on the meal. Our steaks were still good, but not the amazing steaks we had the first time. Will try it again in the future, with fingers crossed.

Pros:

Good food

Cons:

pricey

I know it's hard to not give a 10 to this famous steak house but I was a bit disappointed with my Kansas City Strip. The service was great, the round table for our party of six was perfect but still, a 10 is a 10.

Pros:

Round tables for 6

Cons:

Didn't love my Kansas City

Wife and I had dinner here on Tuesday 1/13 night. We were staying off property for other obligations, but made the effort and reservations for dinner here. This has always been one of our favorite restaurants. The food was excellent. My wife had the 8 oz filet and I had the KC strip and both were cooked as expected. We did not order appetizer as the desserts looked scrumptious. We had the chocolate peanut butter cake which was excellent. The main issue was that a large party sat next to us as we were ordering our main courses. This party may have been the rudest and most obnoxious I have ever seen in a restaurant. The manager did move us into the VIP alcove to alleviate our frustration and the rest of the dinner passed without event. Lulu was our server and did her best to make the rest of the evening enjoyable. We will come back to the Yachtsman, but we will also be on the watch for this type of behavior. Oh as an aside, all of the staff was great and apologetic but like everywhere else in Orlando people apologize for these types of inconveniences, but there is NEVER any type of reimbursement.

Pros:

service and steak quality

Cons:

other patrons

We ate here for our 20th anniversary on December 29, 2013. I split the prime rib with my oldest daughter. We also split a caesar salad. It was nice that they plated it separately. My husband had the New York Strip. My son also had a New York Strip. My youngest daughter had the kids' steak skewer. Everyone liked the food. We just weren't totally wowed like I thought we should be for the price. We did enjoy the Mickey puzzle dessert. The noise level in the restaurant was higher than I would have liked too.

Pros:

food, service, Mickey puzzle dessert

Cons:

price, long wait for food

Excellent! Sophisticated atmosphere but not stuffy. The food is divine. We started with a shrimp cocktail and wedge salad that came with a rich blue cheese vinaigrette. My mom and I got the spare ribs which were complete with mashed potatoes, spinach, and carrots. It was delicious and juicy. Dad and my sister got steaks. The steaks do not come with a side so you will need to order the sides al a carte. We got the truffle Mac & cheese which was heavenly, definitely recommend. We also got the sauté mushrooms which needed more sauce. The strawberry shortcake desert was light and fresh, a perfect ending to a hearty meal. In all I would definitely recommend this to a group of adults who are looking for fine dining in a more relaxed atmosphere.

Pros:

- the food (the truffle Mac and cheese especially) - sophisticated atmosphere - good service

Cons:

- expensive - sides and sauces are a la carte (cost extra)

This is our favorite restaurant. We've had great meals and great drinks every time we've eaten there. We try to get there early so we can have a drink or two at the bar first. Couldn't go the last time (beginning of February) but we will make sure to get reservations next trip.

Pros:

Good food, good drinks and a nice atmosphere.

Cons:

Ate too much so we walked through Epcot after without stopping for rides or a drink.

We celebrated our anniversary by trying Yachtsman Steakhouse for the first time. We were seated at a fairly private table by a window in a small-ish dining room. The food was very good - it was the 2nd best filet mignon I had on property. Our server was very good, and she replaced our bottle of wine when we discovered it was the wrong variety (it was the same vintner but the wrong variety, which we discovered on tasting it). She apologized and found that it was in the wrong bin, so she had to discover where the correct bottles were stored. I hope they put that other bottle of wine to good use. The dining tables are spaced out well and we never felt crowded. The restaurant had an acceptable noise level. We didn't see or hear any unruly kids that night.

Pros:

Very good steaks, nice for a celebration or date night. The location is convenient if you are staying at Boardwalk/Beach Club/Yacht Club or Swan/Dolphin.

Cons:

the decor was tasteful, but it could have been better for a signature restaurant

Hands down one of the best places to get a steak with seafood at Disney! The service was fantastic and it is a perfect date night place. This is not a place to bring kids as it is pretty formal especially for a theme park. The food is fantastic and it is a great place to escape "Disney" without leaving the park.

Pros:

Super great steaks and seafood, nice formal place for a date night

Cons:

Sides leave a little to be desired (potatoes are a primary option and they're just ok) Would not recommend bringing kiddos.
