We are here in early November of 2017 and had the lamb wraps, which were excellent as were the sides.

This was fairly deserted and we had our pick of tables-we chose outside as it was early evening and cool enough to enjoy it. It was nice to sit and eat and do some people watching knowing no one was waiting anxiously for us to free up the table. I don't understand why it doesn't get more business.

Pros:

delicious food and good value

Cons:

Limited seating

We visited in early November 2017. We ended up in Hoops 3 which was ridiculously wonderfully quiet-we were in 3122 and 3123- but was quite a hike from the buses/lobby building.

The rooms were nice and clean and housekeeping discovered a minor maintenance issue I hadn't noticed and engineering stopped by that night to fix it.

The WiFi worked well and the bed was comfortable.

Pros:

Good value, buses ran frequently

Cons:

Long walk to the buses

Review of Be Our Guest -Counter Service Lunch

Reviewed by jeconk Review Date: 12/28/2017

Lunch at Be Our Guest is probably one of the best choices in the Magic Kingdom. While the prices are similar to other "quick service" restaurants, the food and ambiance is above other QS restaurants.
That is probably one of the reasons why it is very hard to get a lunch reservation here and why "walk ups" cannot usually get in for lunch.

The ordering process is a bit slow because each party has to type in their own orders and are not always familiar with the software and all of the choices that you have. It might be better if they had people at each kiosk to take your order.

You are also free to find you own table which can also lead to parties of two sitting at tables for 4 or 6, thus making it harder on larger parties to sit together.

While desserts are not included in dining plans, I would highly reccommend adding a dessert, they are well worth the price. The entrees were all excellent and the portions were quite adequate. It is Disney, so the prices will be high but comparable to other restaurants in the park.

The drinks are self service which allows for free refills, something that most of the other quick service restaurants do not have.

Instead of paying the extra $$ for the "table service" meal at this restaurant in the evening, take it in for lunch or breakfast. That way you get to experience this place while not spending too much. (besides, the dinner menu does not look like anything special....you are better to use your table service credits or money for a better choice like Ohana, Crystal Palace or California Grill. (you are basically paying extra for "ambiance" if you eat dinner at Be Our Guest.)

Pros:

Location can't be beat, boat service, pool

Cons:

Ordering process; self seating arrangement; hard to get reservations for and usually no walk-ups can get in.

Review of Liberty Tree Tavern Dinner

Reviewed by jeconk Review Date: 12/28/2017

This is a new found favorite of ours. We ate here for dinner before Mickey's Christmas Party because of the reviews Liberty Tree was getting. While we had a reservation for 5:15, we were not seated until 5:45 because they were behind in reservations. (it appeared that several people were just "talking" and had finished eating but were not leaving....that kind of rudeness is not the fault of the restaurant but those sitting....

Once seated, our waiter quickly took our drink order and told us how the meal "works" at Liberty Tree. Basically he brings the salad course and then the main course and finally the dessert course. Our drinks and fresh, warm rolls arrived soon after.

The entire meal is served family style and is all you care to eat so each member can pick and choose and eat as much or as little of each item has they desire. The "Declaration Salad" is typical salad with an italian dressing served in a big bowl to the table. This wasn't anything special but again, you only took what you wanted.

The waiter then brought us the main course. He brought a meat platter that consisted of pot roast, pork and turkey. Another plate held mashed potatoes and dressing and there were two other bowls with Mac and cheese and vegetable as well as a laddle of hot turkey gravy. He came back and asked if we would like any refills and when we ask for just more pot roast, he came back with a bowl of more pot roast. With the exception of the pot roast, the food originally brought to the table was quite enough for four of us.

The turkey was a little dry but you could put gravy on it. The pork was more moist and flavorful. The pot roast was fantastic! It was seasoned very well and was tender and moist. The vegetables and mac and cheese were also good. The potoates appeared mashed with skins on them and were good, but with so many other good choices, we sort of ignored them. The dressing was fantastic! It was moist, hot and had an incredible flavor. It was really the best dressing I have ever tasted. (including my grandmothers....).

If I had any complaints, it would be that our waiter was not always quick to re fill our drinks and it took quite a while between clearing the plates from the main course until our dessert was brought and then before the check was brought.

The dessert was an incredible bread pudding with ice cream and warm sauce. Now, I am not generally a fan of bread pudding, but this stuff was very good. Almost could make me a fan of bread pudding....ok, not quite that far....lol.

We were on the Disney Dining Plan and so this counted as a table service meal for us and was certainly worth it. The cost of this meal for those not on the DDP, is extremely reasonable for Disney World and is a very ecconomical meal while at the parks. It is also a good meal because each person can eat what they want out of the choices and avoid those things they don;t like. If someone really likes a certain item (like myself and the dressing), that person can enjoy more of that.

This is a high choice in my reccommendations for dining at Walt Disney World

Pros:

Great food; each person can eat as much or little as they want of each item; Economical for a sit down meal at Disney

Cons:

Reservations were backed up; Very small restrooms (and upstairs)

Review of CLOSED: Bon Voyage Character Breakfast

My daughters (ages: 17 and 11) and I ate here on December 22, 2017. We were the last table seated for the breakfast. Our server, Luis did an excellent job. The food was yummy, but I felt since we were the last table the characters didn't spend much time with us. They would talk to us and then quickly ask us if we wanted a picture. If we tried to interact with them, they quickly cut the conversation off short and were ready to whisk out the door. This was a little disappointing as we saw them spend much more time with other tables. For this reason, I gave the experience an 8. We have had other character experiences at similar times and not experienced this abbreviated interaction.

Pros:

food and service

Cons:

characters were rushed

Review of Brown Derby Lunch/Dinner

We had a dinner reservation at Hollywood Brown Derby at 6:30 on Thanksgiving evening. We finally were seated and had menus in our hands at 8:35! When our entrees arrived, the restaurant was in the process of closing and tables were being set up for the following day. The food was not awful, but certainly not worth 2 Dining Plan credits or a 2 hour wait, which meant that we also missed Fantasmic. The manager on duty was unsympathetic, did not offer any compensation for missing Fantasmic (we had FastPasses, as did the many people around us who were also being told that seating was running 2 hours behind). I had the cioppino, which was just plain weird. It was lukewarm and what I suspect was meant to be broth was congealed at the bottom of the bowl. Only the grapefruit cake was worth eating. We won't be going back.

Pros:

Not many

Cons:

Extremely slow, food not up to usual standards

We've have stayed at this resort and eaten hear for over 15 years. The recent decrease in menu choices and ordering process has disappointed me. We were here 2 weeks ago and they only have 2 quick service stations now, as opposed to 4 previously. One is a walk through "buffet" type with severely decreased choices and the food was not good at all. The only way to order from the other one is to go to the register, pick off a small menu and order, then go and wait until your order is called for pickup. Every time we ordered from them, they made a mistake and we had to wait for new food to be prepared. These changes are very disappointing!

Pros:

None

Cons:

Menu decreased extensively and a poor change in the ordering

Dismal food in a disorganized restaurant. We should have kept walking. The cheese flatbread was no better than a personal pizza from a drive through Pizza Hut. Ordering was confusing and the ordering bays are so tight that someone dropped a tray of food near us, trying to wiggle out of the ordering area.

Pros:

Convenient

Cons:

Poor food
