This event was held in the new Tutto Gusto Wine Cellar. We all agreed that it is the best venue in WDW - perhaps only a bit less than V&A. The five course lunch represented different regions of Italy. The risotto with pumpkin and shrimp was different and delicious. Unlike the French Regional lunches they were not anxious to refill the glasses. This was a surprise because we had attended the Italian Wine Pairing two days early with several of the same wines, and they were very generous. Downside of the pairing was Via Napoli. It is a very noisy place - fun with pizza, but not great when trying to hear about the food and wines. Perhaps next year they will have both events in the Wine Cellar.

We (six very senior citizens) were lucky to be able to attend two French Regional lunches during our one week visit. The Cotes du Rhone and Bordeaux regionals were well represented. Every course provided a new taste treat. A Celery Zephyr with Black Truffles was served with an light mousse topping. Different and delicious. The Bordeaux were from the Rothschild Domaines, and lived up to their reputation.

Our family vacation was much less than anticipated for staying on Disney Property. We will never spend that kind of money again for such low standards. We had a wheel chair which we had to leave in the car because the access to the room was impossible. There was no refrigerator in the room. When I called housekeeping they informed me all the refrigerators had been removed because people were using them for too much food. She told me to use my ice bucket ! I was told we were informed but as yet I have never received a letter or email informing me of this. Because I insisted over and over again she finally got me a refrigerator. Not a very magical way to start the vacation. There also needs to be better marking to the building, everyone there just wanders until they get lucky and find their place. You can do better Disney...... We will never stay on Disney property again. Oct 13 to Oct 19

We love the Grand Floridian Resort, we have stayed there many times. This resort is like no other. The service you get is incredible. Yes it is a little expensive but worth every penny. For being a deluxe resort you would never feel more comfortable.

When it comes to resort dining, or even quick-service dining in general, one of the places we'll always stop off at (whether we're staying at that particular resort or not) is the Roaring Forks at Wilderness Lodge. There aren't too many places in WDW where I can find a decent tuna sandwich, but I can always get one at the Roaring Forks. My wife also fell in love with a smoked turkey sandwich we can only find there as well. So we'll make special trips to eat there. It has decent prices and adequate seating as well.

At the Polynesian Resort, one of my staple choices for dining on every vacation to Disney World is upstairs at 'Ohana. It's one of those all-you-can-eat deals where the waiters and waitresses are constantly bringing back fresh bowls of food or offering freshly cooked pieces of meat and seafood until you just can't eat anymore. The food is typically delicious....as long as you don't eat there after 8:00 or so (because then the food didn't taste as fresh, which was disappointing). There is plenty of entertainment for the kiddies and enough to enjoy there to make it a standard dining spot.

Pecos Bills, for all intents and purposes is a replica of Cosmic Rays (from over in Tomorrowland) except set to a western theme. Really that's all it is. However, the one difference I can pick out is that it has better burgers there than Cosmic Rays has. Everything else is basically the same offerings at the same quality and for the same price.

The Disney Dining plan, for the most part, is great.....especially when you book a vacation package that throws it in without cost to you. What really works the best with the DDP is that it affords you the opportunity to eat at some places on WDW property that perhaps one might not normally get to due to the expense.
Generally, you get a drink, main meal, and dessert. Sometimes that's more than enough to satisfy you, but in other times you might want an appetizer, and those are NOT included in the DDP. Also NOT included in the DDP are tips for the wait staff, and based on the overall cost of your meal, the tips can be up there quite a bit (regardless of whether they deserve that tip or not).
What also could be improved upon is them adding a third meal, as it only offers two per person per day. Then, there are some restaurants that take two credits instead of one.....and usually the meals in those places aren't good enough to justify that.

On the whole Disney transportation is good. The monorail has the distinction of being both transportation and a ride in and of itself. The boats and ferries are also good means of getting around from place to place, in part because they run with some regularity. The problem area, however, is with the buses, in particular with how they run to/from the resorts. I stay at the Wilderness Lodge fairly often, and the bus transportation there is pretty bad....in terms of the timing of when the bus you need actually arrives. In most instances, you'll have to sit through multiple buses coming and going to other destinations before the one you want arrives. It's ridiculous.

If unable to stay at a monorail resort in the MK area, the Wilderness Lodge is a fantastic alternative. Wonderfully themed and nestled away in its own little nook of the property, the WL is truly an impressive resort. It's close enough, yet far away enough to be in the Magic Kingdom area and feel like its own secluded resort. Rooms are spacious, restaurants are enjoyable, and the lobby is something special.
