Wish I could go higher than a "10"! This show is incredible! We have been maybe 5 or 6 times in our long Disney World history. This time we brought some oldsters and youngsters who had not seen it. I have never seen such laughter or enjoyment from both groups. While very campy, the script is fun and done on an extremely talented level. The entire evening is filled with quips, singing, dancing and quality food, served family style. Also, free beer and wine for us responsible adults. When the kiddos asked for Mac & Cheese, the servers brought that off the menu! They incorporate audience participation, much to the delight of all. Nothing will ever compare to this in all of WDW and we will continue to enjoy it every 3rd or 4th year. Much better than other dinner shows and well worth the $$$.

Pros:

Fun for all ages and yummy!

Cons:

Located in Fort Wilderness so it's a bit of a trek but accessible by bus and boat

Our family totally loves the Hoop-Dee-Doo! We have so many wonderful memories of the many times we have seen the show. It is a \"must do\" for us on every trip to Disney World. The food is really good and there is something for everyone to enjoy. The children bounce with excitement when it is time for dessert. The show is quite memorable with lots of singing, humor and shenanigans! We all leave with smiles on our faces. I can't imagine a trip to Disney without stopping by Pioneer Hall.

Pros:

Family oriented, good food, audience participation, great staff

Cons:

Pricey for most families

Its a must each time we go. Its fried chicken, ribs, mashed potatoes, corn, beans, corn bread and salad. they really improved on the beans.

We had our first visit to the HDDMR on December 26, 2017. We paid the extra amount to sit on the main floor (1st tier) and it was worth it. We had table #64, which we were told at check-in was a great table. It was right in the middle of the floor and the performers danced around us.

Since it was during Christmas, the room was decorated and the show incorporated some seasonal music. The performers were very great and it was a cute show with a good amount of audience participation.

When you walk in the salad and bread are on the table waiting for you. The fried chicken was great (the same you get at Trails' End BTW), the ribs were fine, and I liked the sides. Desert was strawberry shortcake. They will bring you as much food as you want. Bottomless wine, sangria, and beer are included. So if you drink, that will help justify the price.

We were staying at Coronado Springs and debated driving over because of the huge crowds, but I'm glad we didn't. We took a bus to the Magic Kingdom and then took the resort boat to Ft. Wilderness. We came back the same way. I love the campground, so we didn't mind wandering around a bit until it was time to check in.

I'm not sure we will go again since it is basically the same show. But I can say I have been and it was a fun experience.

Pros:

Fun, clean entertainment

Cons:

Expensive and loud

It had been many years since we did this and decided to do it this trip since friends were with us. The food was okay. The ribs were good but the beans were cold. The corn bread was good but I miss the strawberry vinaigrette dressing on the salad. The one they have now was too spicy for me taste. The chicken was good but the strawberry shortcake needed more strawberries and less cake. The show is always entertaining and we all enjoyed it. Since the only seating available was Tier 3, we had no choice. If you choose to use the Tier 3 seating, everyone sits in one line so you cannot hold a conversation with anyone other than the two people seated next to you. The chairs turn so you can see the show. However, you cannot see what is happening directly below you. Everyone should do this once. It is fun.

Pros:

Entertainment

Cons:

Seating

This one was tough for me. We've all heard of the Hoop Dee Doo and everyone loves it and I wanted to, I really, really wanted to but.... C'mon. 4 adults (actually 2 parents and 2 teens) $300 bucks, fried chicken, and cheesy entertainment. First off, they stuff you in there. I was constantly getting bumped by someone. The food is fine- fried chicken, ribs, mashed potatoes, corn, beans and salad but again $300. Unlimited beer and wine is only possible if you can get a server to bring it to you. We had a total of 3 beers at our table. I also understand that I'm paying for a dinner show and while I did laugh a few times I just don't understand the hype. I'm glad after 40 years of traveling to Disney that I finally went but will I be back? Not a chance! And I am thankful that my kids grinned and beared it without any complaints!!

Pros:

???

Cons:

Cost, food

This was my first experience with HDDMR after 11 previous WDW trips. It did not disappoint in any way! The food was excellent and the show was very entertaining. Since we were there in December, we caught the Christmas version. I still have Sixpence singing "I Ain't Gettin' Nuttin' For Christmas" stuck in my head!

Pros:

Everything!

Cons:

Nothing!

I visited Hoop Dee Doo in December 2015 about a week before Christmas for the first time and boy was it amazing. Got category 1 seating (which I highly recommend) and we had a blast. Food was excellent, cast was funny. everything was great. Saw it with my mother, father, sister and niece. My other sister (niece's mother) was flying down to visit during Christmas and we decided we wanted to go again, as my other sister had never seen the show before. By some miracle I was able to get a category 1 table for 6 on Christmas eve. This show was even better than the first. Our table was dead center, the performers came and sang and danced right around our table, Claire came and sat on my dads lap and my niece was picked for a role towards the end of the show. A family experience we'll never forget.

Like most have said, it's a Disney must. The jokes will be corny but they never cease to be funny. Kids especially will love the show.

Pros:

Most food is great, you'll have a wonderful time, never gets old

Cons:

Price keeps going up, some of the food is less than great
