Please keep your hands, arms, feet, and legs inside this post at all times – Disney just made some huge announcements, and we’re about to share them all with you!

Disney held an earnings call and released an earnings report on August 5th, 2026. This latest report and call were for Q3 of FY 26 (the third quarter of fiscal year 2026). That let us get a look at Disney’s overall financial standing, how its entertainment division is doing, how well its theme parks are doing, and more. So what do YOU need to know from all of this? We’re going to give you the big news right here!
Overview
First, let’s tackle the overall financial results. For Q3, Disney shared a 7% revenue growth!

Okay, now let’s get into all the details.
Entertainment (Disney+, Streaming, Movies, and More)
Let’s start with the Disney Entertainment division. This covers streaming, Hulu, Disney+, movies, and more. Q3 brought us Toy Story 5 in theaters, continuing the story of the incredibly popular franchise. Plus, we got The Mandalorian and Grogu.
But how has Disney’s entertainment division done as a whole? Disney revealed Toy Story 5 surpassed $1 billion at the global box office, and has earned another $1 billion in merchandise alone.
Additionally, Disney revealed that Spider-Man: Brand New Day had a record-breaking opening weekend.

The live-action Moana has already been released, and the rest of 2026 will bring us some more Disney movies, including Hexed around Thanksgiving and Avengers: Doomsday in December.
Will these bring in some BIG bucks for Disney? What new titles could we see on Disney+ that’ll bring more viewers to the service? We’ll be watching for the latest news to give you all those updates!

Disney Experiences (Theme Parks, Cruise Line, and Merchandise)
Next up, let’s take a look at the Disney Experiences division — this covers theme parks, cruise line, and merchandise. Q3 brought some BIG updates to Disney World. We got the opening of the revamped Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, refurbished Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin, a new mission on Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run, Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring the Muppets, Walt Disney Studios courtyard, and Soarin’ Across America. (How did that ALL happen in the last few months?!)
So how did the parks division perform? For this latest quarter, Disney announced that global park attendance grew by 4%. It’s no surprise that everyone showed up for all these new rides!

Disney has some major projects in the works when it comes to the theme parks and cruising, including several brand new cruise ships, a new Villains land for Magic Kingdom, a new Cars land for Magic Kingdom, Monstropolis for Hollywood Studios, Pueblo Esperanza for Animal Kingdom, a new hotel, and MUCH more.

Will these projects encourage greater attendance? How will trends change in the coming years? We’ll be watching for the latest news.

ESPN
Finally, let’s hop into the world of sports! During this last quarter, Banana Ball came to Disney World, and it changed our lives. But just how has ESPN been doing? Well, Disney shared that during Q3 of FY 26, ESPN generated the most-watched first half of the calendar year since 2012, and this year’s NBA Finals were the most-viewed in 28 years.

Sports fans should be getting their favorite dip recipes ready and cleaning those grills because college football, the NFL regular season, and more fun are on the way.

There are a few interesting things to note about this earnings call. First, this latest quarter (Q3) was the first entirely led by Josh D’Amaro as Disney’s newest CEO.

Second, this earnings call was held just days before one of the biggest Disney events of the year — D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event. That event will be taking place on August 13th-15th in Anaheim, and Disney could drop some MAJOR theme park and entertainment news. So, make sure you circle those days on every single calendar you own! Put a reminder in your phone. Tell Alexa to set ALL the alarms.

We will be covering everything you need to know from the D23 event, so check back with us for all the latest!
