REVIEW: Why Isn’t EVERYONE Talking About This Disney World Lounge?!

When planning a trip to Disney World, it can be stressful to figure out where you should eat while you’re there. Luckily, you’ve come to the right place!

Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa

Here at AllEars, we know everything about all the Disney restaurants — and we always make sure to let you know where you should visit and which restaurants you can probably skip on your next trip. We recently stopped by the Enchanted Rose at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, and are bringing you our FULL review!

Background

This is a lounge located just off the Grand Floridian’s main lobby on the second floor. This elegant lounge is subtly themed to Beauty and the Beast.

Enchanted Rose Sign

This space opened back in 2019 in its reimagined form with nods to the 2017 live-action Beauty and the Beast. It replaced the former Mizner’s Lounge and Commander Porter’s, which used to exist in the same space.

This menu is so pretty!

We love this lounge, and we are excited to take you along with us today! Here’s what you need to know about dining at this restaurant.

Atmosphere

When you walk in, you are immediately immersed in gorgeous decor and fabulous atmosphere. You first see the bar that has a beautiful chandelier over it, meant to represent Belle’s iconic yellow gown.

We LOVE this chandelier!

You can also visit the formal library, which features a classical baroque design and French furnishings. As well as lots of books, making this space feel both elegant and cozy.

So pretty

If you’re looking for a more whimsical experience, you could also enjoy your drink over in the garden room, meant to represent the forest surrounding Beast’s castle.

However, our favorite part of this Lounge is all the subtle and wonderful nods to the film, including this Enchanted Rose and Belle’s magic mirror.

And if you pay close attention, you can even spot a clock designed to look like Cogsworth, in his design from the live-action Beauty and the Beast.

Hi Cogsworth!

But enough about that, what are we eating?!

Food & Drinks

First up, we grabbed the Smoked Trout & Crab Dip for $16. This is made with Salmon Roe, Chive Oil, and Sesame Seed Lavosh.

Smoked Trout and Crab Dip

This was so incredible! It was incredibly smooth and creamy, and the crackers it’s served with were very crispy but held their structure well. This dish is salty but has an incredibly rich flavor. The trout is very tender and has a slight lemon taste to it. We would definitely recommend trying this on your next visit.

To drink, we picked up the Lavender Fog for $20.50. This is made with Nolet’s Silver Dry Gin, Rothman & Winter Crème de Violette, Twinings English Breakfast Tea, Vanilla, and Cream.

Lavender Fog

This was very good and so floral in the best way. Sometimes a floral flavor can be overpowering, but it worked really well in this drink. The gin is subtle and not as strong as we were worried about. The foam on top had almost a marshmallowy taste, and it was quite sweet and balanced out the drink really well.

We also tried the Charcuterie for $22. This is made with Duck Rillettes, Bresaola, Serrano Ham, Sopressata, Tomato Jam, Cornichons, Citrus Mustard, Pickled Carrots, Olive Crostini, and Grissini.

Enchanted Rose Charcuterie

This was not our favorite thing that we tried. The duck was a little tough and leathery. The bresaola tasted similar to salami and was a  little spicy. The ham was very good and very tender. The citrus mustard was surprisingly spicy; it was a nice little kick! However, the citrus flavor did not come through at all.

The pickled carrots were okay, a little sour, but they had a nice snap, while the breads were very crunchy without tasting stale. However, there were only three pieces of bread, and we wished that there were a few more.

Lastly, we tried the Rosemary Cooler for $8. This is made with Minute Maid Premium Lemonade, Vanilla, and Rosemary. This was a very unique non alcoholic option. The rosemary flavor was super strong, which we were worried would be too overpowering.

Rosemary Cooler

The most dominant flavor here is the lemonade. The vanilla flavor is also nice and makes the flavor similar to a lemon sorbet.  We really enjoyed this, and while $8 is a bit pricey for this kind of drink, it’s a solid option if you are looking for something non alcoholic.

Magic or Tragic?

This Disney World restaurant is a must-visit if…

  • You love Beauty and the Beast. The theming here really is so incredible, and it is so fun to explore this space to find all the subtle hidden details everywhere.
  • You’re looking for an upscale Disney Lounge experience. This is definitely a nice experience, with great staff and high-quality drinks. So if you’re looking for a great Disney Lounge to grab a drink after a long day in the parks, this is a great choice.

You should skip this Disney World spot if…

  • You’re looking for a space that appeals to a large group. As we said before, this is a nice higher-end experience, which might not work if you are traveling with a big group and need to please a lot of people.
  • You’re looking for a great Disney Charcuterie board. There are so many incredible Charcuterie options around Disney World if that’s something you’re interested in; however, we wouldn’t suggest this Lounge if a fantastic Charcuterie board is what you’re looking for.
