REVIEW: Don’t Be Surprised if We See Us With Our Feet up and Drink in Our Hand at This EPCOT Lounge

New items at EPCOT? Count us in!

We recently went to GEO-82, the Spaceship Earth lounge at EPCOT, to try two brand-new items. Could these be up there as the go-to things to grab at Disney World this summer? Let’s find out!

GEO-82 is an adults-only lounge at EPCOT that is inspired by the art and architecture of Spaceship Earth. The lounge is stunning with its decorations and design.

At GEO-82, you can get signature drinks, small bites, and beautiful views of the park. It’s also a great spot to catch a view of the Luminous fireworks. It’s a pricier spot, but we definitely think it’s worth it.

As we said, the lounge has two new items. The first thing we grabbed was the Clarified Bee’s Knees for $25. This drink dropped a month ago with two other new drinks we’ve already tried at GEO-82. Last time we were there, we didn’t get to try the Bee’s Knees, but now we have!

What’s cool about this drink is that they make their own honey syrup with honey from the bees on property! The drink is refreshing, with no strong alcohol bite. The honey has a light floral flavor and the lemon provides a clean balance. The thyme is very subtle, but it helps to make the flavors of the honey pop.

The other new item is a snack called the Jamon Iberico Croquetas, which you can grab for $22. It’s a tiny little dollop of yellow tomato gazpacho, a slice of iberico and garnished with the sorrel. The dish had such a cute presentation on this little ceramic pillow.

These have a beautiful crunch on the outside, protecting the silky béchamel center, which also has tiny bits of iberico. If you’ve never had it or had béchamel in this format, it’s like eating the smoothest mashed potatoes you’ve ever experienced inside a deep-fried pocket.

Note that no potatoes are involved; it’s a light roux with flour and butter. The snack is also deceivingly light and airy, yet a fairly substantial bite.
