Here at AllEars, we’ve often found that those two hobbies go hand-in-hand, and we’ve even been known to travel with our Kindles or paperbacks in our Disney World park bag. (Gotta entertain ourselves in the lines somehow!) So today, we’re rounding up the list of underrated Disney books you probably don’t know about.
We’re starting out with a favorite of Disney history buffs, The Imagineering Story: The Official Biography of Walt Disney Imagineering by Leslie Iwerks. It has never-before-seen access to stories, secrets, and behind-the-scenes tidbits of WDI.
If you’re fascinated with the creativity and engineering behind the parks, then this book is a MUST.
Want the full backstory and history of how Walt Disney World came to exist? Then you need Buying Disney’s World. This is the tale of Swampland to Fantasyland!
Seriously, if you’ve never heard how Walt Disney’s companies bought up land for “The Florida Project,” this book tells it in fascinating detail. Once again, a great book for the history buffs.
Another great book detailing the background and history of Walt Disney World is Realityland: True-Life Adventures at Walt Disney World. This one was published in 2014 and described as “The first in-depth, unauthorized look at the creation and operation of the world’s most popular vacation destination.”
Want the nitty-gritty detail and the tea spilled on all the issues that plagued the construction of the parks? This is a great book to read.
If you were a fan of the Kingdom Keepers books as a kid, did you know there’s a NEW series out? Kingdom Keepers: Inheritance The Shimmer is the first book in the Kingdom Keepers Inheritance series, and it’s on Amazon now.
This new series follows the children of the original Kingdom Keepers, and it’s set in the future. If you were a fan of the original series, you have GOT to get your hands on this.
