You Can Now Visit Disneyland Without Leaving Your House Thanks to Fortnite

Attention gamers, this is NOT a drill: Disneyland is coming to Fortnite! As part of the relationship announced back in 2024, players can now access Disneyland Game Rush, Disney’s first Fortnite island inspired by the Disneyland Resort in the mega-popular video game.

According to Disney, “When players arrive on the Disneyland Game Rush island, they are greeted by a mini-replica of the Disneyland Resort 70th Celebration contemporary sculpture inspired by Sleeping Beauty Castle. While exploring the hub, players can spot beloved attractions in the distance, including Sleeping Beauty Castle, Pixar Pal-A-Round, and Incredicoaster.”

Disneyland Game Rush Island allows up to eleven Disney Parks and Fortnite fans to compete in seven different mini-games, each themed to different attractions at the resort.

These mini-games  include:

  • Space Mountain: Rocket Race, during which players must “master jumping from rail to rail to avoid other players and increase their score by collecting unique coins.”
  • Star Wars: Stormtrooper Showdown, a mini-game modeled after Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, where players wield blasters and Lightsabers and must collect coins that drop from defeated enemies to increase their score.
  • Haunted Mansion: Scavenger Haunt, an Easter Egg-filled mini-game where players solve puzzles to reveal hidden coins or open new passageways to secret areas.
  • WEB Slingers: Spider-Bot Blasters, a mini-game where players must destroy as many Spider-Bots as they can to achieve a high score.
  • Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: Sneakout!, where players must stealthily make their escape from the Collector’s fortress by sneaking through the familiar towering citadel inspired by Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT!
  • Indiana Jones: Tomb Runner, Players race to the finish line against other players and collect coins while navigating through a dangerous temple, dodging and outrunning steel spikes, lava, and of course, giant rolling boulders in this game inspired by the Adventureland classic.
  • Matterhorn: Slip-and-Climb, where players must master jumping and utilizing their grappling hook to collect coins and make it to the top of Disney’s iconic peek.

Players can obtain a virtual Key to Disneyland in each of these mini-games, which can be used at the lock station kiosk to randomly unlock one of seven gold cosmetic items that are exclusive to the island.

In addition, guests can explore a virtual recreation of Disneyland’s hub, where they can find Disneyland Resort trivia, opportunities to complete different quests, and 70th Celebration-themed present boxes that will reward players with in-game coins to exchange for their island cosmetics. On top of that, once all the mini-games are completed, “the hub explodes into a colorful nighttime celebration led by Mickey Mouse with fireworks, holograms, and players showing off their best new accessories and dance moves!”
